Neal was amazing! He was in constant contact with me before my mother's 70th birthday party, giving examples of previous similar events and helpful suggestions. He was right on time and very professional, playing everything we had requested (from many different genres). He kept the very diverse crowd dancing and partying throughout the day. What a great time! Everyone commented on how fantastic he was. His price was extremely fair and affordable, especially since he added some effects and lighting. Neal did an amazing job at our wedding! He provided a set up for the ceremony (outside) and reception (inside) along with uplighting. I was able to provide him with a list of songs for the ceremony and he did an amazing job making sure the timing was right. It was beautiful. He arrived at the venue 4 hours early and worked tirelessly through the night to make sure our night was perfect. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I'm very open to tailoring my fees and services to YOUR needs. Thumbtack parses quote estimates based on hourly blocks, but I'm not really a clock watcher. I like working out packages and I don't typically fuss over extra time. I do offer a range of services, so I will be able to adjust downwards if there's things you don't need. I do offer some next tier options, though, like uplighting and video projection that would be extra. Transportation costs may be something to discuss if the event is a great distance away. But either way, let's work out something together that leaves everyone smiling!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to arrange an in-person meeting if possible, but I'm very flexible. Lots of busy people out there, so phone, Skype, email, texting, chat, are all possibilities. I want to get to know about your expectations for the event, I want you to have the opportunity to get a sense of who I am. I encourage people to visit my website as there are reviews, pictures, and set lists from many past events.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a graduate of The Omega Studios School of Applied Recording Arts and Sciences, where I learned audio engineering, recording technology, video systems, sound system design, and acoustics, as well as studying large format record consoles, mic techniques, signal processing, MIDI, sound synthesis, Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton Live, and web graphics. I've also studied electricity and electrical systems at both the secondary and university level.
