My 2019 taxes were prepared (by TurboTax). I had reservations to take on an accountant since I already had my taxes set up with TurboTax. I was suggested to go to an accountant because they can get me a better result on my taxes, that was not true in this case. I had signed the agreement to hire an accountant, I went ahead and worked with Al tax Consulting LLC. I was obligated to pay the fee of $250 to process and submit. TurboTax offered me $80 for the same work the accountant did. A BIG difference if I had only done it myself. At this point I paid $200 for the same work I did with TurboTax. Everything is done & was submitted by e-file, now I'm just waiting for my federal tax refund. Business is satisfactory. I know what I am doing, so next time I will do my own taxes.

Maria, When we spoke on the phone you indicated that TurboTax fee was $120. I told you the difference between self-prepared return via TurboTax and professional tax preparation. My initial fee was $250 but at the end since you were very price sensitive I only charged $200 and your tax preparation fee of $200 was deducted from your refund. So you didn’t pay upfront. I reviewed everything together with you and explained all the credits you were getting, EIC, child credit etc. I feel like I did my best and don’t deserve a 3 star review.

AI tax consultant were great. Assel was professional, and got me a great return. She took the time to work through all the different scenarios with me to see which one worked the best. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing is based on the return complexity. I can also work on a flat fee. I am very competitive with pricing. Just let me know what you have so I can give you an accurate quote. Assurance, Peace of Mind and Accuracy.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Getting to know the client, interviewing & gathering information and documents, going over potential tax deductions and tax savings, preparing return and sending to client for review; once approved and signed (via remote signature as an option), the return is e-filed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Master's of Accountancy from George Washington University Bachelor's in Finance from Coastal Carolina University Multiple annual CPE hours, attending tax related conferences and webinars, keeping abreast of all tax law changes. Eligible to sit for CPA license and in the process of preparing for the exams.
