Introduction: I specialize in one on one training with dogs and their people, making sure that every method is tailored to that specific situation, dog, and people involved. I believe it is vital that my training be easy to understand and implement, or I have provided a disservices to my customers. Meeting all the different people and their pets, and making their relationships more positive and enjoyable. The most rewarding part of my job is when I provide people with the skills they need to keep their dog, instead of taking it to the pound.

Karin has been an ideal dog trainer! We brought our rescue puppy with behavioral issues to Karin for socialization and assistance with basic obedience. Her hours were flexible and she always showed compassion, knowledge and support in working with Teddy. She also assisted us with lining up additional resources in the community to help with his behavioral/socialization issues. In addition, the first day that I left him there, she sent me photos and emails during the day to give me updates. I felt comfortable leaving my dog with her and appreciated the amount of effort she put into identifying our dogs needs. I recommend her to friends and will continue to highly recommend her.

Karin was great to work with. She got as much information on the home environment and the puppy as she could before the first meeting so she would be a step ahead in recommendations. She was very observant and supportive of the already established relationship between myself and my puppy. I learned many things I had no clue about or even thought to ask. She has tremendous experience and patience. I was very pleased with the initial meeting and know that if I have further questions or training needs, they will be met in the same positive manner.

Karin was great helping me get my dogs used to using a ramp to get in and out of the car as well as up to the bed. She showed me tips that I still use today to encourage them to continue using the ramp. She comes to your home and gives you and your dogs undivided attention. We will use her again!

Adult dog behavior issues seem to be most common, but I do get lots of puppies just starting out.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be sure they have some proof of their training. Ask what their methods of training are and what sort of follow up support they provide. Ask for references!
