Due to competing for work prices fluctuate when services are obtained through thumbtack. In conjunction with the price obtain on the site we also offer packages, monthly contests, rewards programs, and payment plans to make tutoring affordable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our top priority is gaining the trust of the customer especially parents. We very serious about a no fear zone when tutoring. We would prefer the tutee make every mistake when in their tutoring session and ask every question to minimize the unknowns when it is time to take the test. One of our top objectives is to repair the self-esteem of the individual as a student, because poor grades and fear of math tend to lower the student's confidence.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I begin tutoring in 2000 at J. Sergeant Reynolds in 2000 in developmental math to Calculus II. I continued as a free lance/volunteer tutor while completing my post graduated studies. I am a Mechanical Engineer by trade and have been for over 11 years with a minor in mathematics which required completion of math to Calculus IV. I also hosted a number of free math clinics in the Hampton Roads area while I was a resident with the hopes of doing the same in the DC metro area.
