Introduction: We are a small family friendly farm focusing on correct fundamentals,safety and mostly fun. I have has over 35 years of teaching experience and also works as a mental health therapist locally. I teach all ages, from small children to seniors and also teach those with special needs, anxiety issues etc. The environment is friendly, relaxed and the horses are all well loved. I love helping students discover the joy of horses and horsemanship and the many, many benefits it offers. From developing confidence and exceeding their own expectations, it gives me great pleasure to see the smiles on their faces.

Pond View Stables is the BEST !! Joan the instructor is so kind and patient with you. I was a beginner and older in my 40’s and she made me feel so at ease. I have learned so much from Joan., Her knowledge of horses is unbelievable, there is nothing I ask her about horses that she can’t answer. There is absolutely no better place to go if you want to learn to ride.

Typically, after assessing experience level, I will either start new riders on a lunge line to begin or start on a quiet horse and go from there.
