Introduction: Attention to detail is everything to me. Doing thorough work in a careful and methodical manner is very important to me, as my name and reputation is stamped on every completed piece that goes out my shop's door. Carefully rubbed out finishes, matching wood grains, high-quality hardware, smoothly running drawers, snugly fitting doors, pleasing proportions in furniture scale and layout, seamless dutchman repairs, etc. all this and much more make my work stand out. Working independently and being responsible for all facets of the work which I produce, from design and consultation to fabrication and installation. Being totally in charge of design, structure, materials and overall aesthetics is a very rewarding thing, in and of itself. Pleasing my clients is the icing on the cake, esp. when a difficult project is successfully completed.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I have many years of experience in the repair & restoration of antique furniture. I've repaired damaged veneers and cracked panels; re-carved missing pieces; replaced custom mouldings; repaired broken joinery and stripped and refinished entire pieces. Using aniline dyes and oil-based pigments, I have custom-matched existing finishes with shellac and/or varnish finishes. I can also fabricate a missing leg or rail, if need be.
