FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer package rates for each of my services - Massage Therapy, Personal Training, and Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching. I have a Client Referral Program where clients earn discounts for sharing my service with their friends and family members.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The starting point in my work with others is focused on three key areas. 1. What is your current state physically, mentally, and emotionally? 2. What is your desired outcome? What do you want to feel? What experience to you want to create? 3. Where have you been? What have you tried? What was and wasn't helpful?
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned a Master's Degree in Exercise Science in 2002 from UMaine and have been working with clients in various training and coaching capacities since. I completed the Fellowship of Applied Functional Science program through the Gray Institute in 2008. This experience played an important role in expanding my approach to personal training and provided me with the knowledge and skills to support clients who where managing pain and injury. In 2014, I earned a Certification in Massage Therapy to add to my repertoire to build more of a holistic practice and to serve others in a multitude of ways toward the experience in their body that want to create. I'm currently finishing a nutrition certification program to firm up my knowledge of nutrition science and my system for guiding people to reach the goals they have in a way that is best suited to their wants, needs, and preferences. In addition to the credentials mentioned above, I've worked with key mentors in the areas of personal training, nutrition and lifestyle coaching, and massage therapy to improve the effectiveness of my services and to embody the habits and the lifestyle I help others to move toward. Learning for me is a lifelong pursuit.
