Introduction: I've worked in the wedding industry for quite a while now, so I've gotten to know them like the back of my hand. With my background in Action Sports, I'm able to see the angles that others just aren't used to seeing. This background also allows me to adjust quickly to any change in the shooting environment, making it easy for me to 'get the shot.' A wedding is a very special day, and being able to translate that excitement into photos and video is what keeps me doing what I do. The look on a clients face when they see their wedding day translated into photos and video is what motivates me day in and day out.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've been behind the lens since high school. Event photography all started with a project in school about candid street photography. I quickly found that I love to blend into a scene and capture the moments as they happen.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Photojournalism is a decent way to describe my approach to a shoot. I aim to tell the story behind the photos, not just create an album of still frames.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A background in Action Sports has taught me to adapt on-the-fly to weather conditions, location changes and photo angles. This allows me to quickly adapt to the environment no matter what is going on. I also feel that a great photo shoot happens only with excellent communication between the photographer and client. Staged photos rarely look good, so a clients input and collaboration during a shoot is essential. I thrive as a photographer when I can have fun with the clients.
