What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Business Internet Availability Check (How connected to that customer search button are you?), report and quote with my best suggestions: $100
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication is key in learning a new customers ideas, goals and what actual web real estate is owned. Next would be adding web real estate or checking connections between what is there and their potential customer's search buttons. I would then prepare a report to show what may be lacking and how to improve with a quote if needed. After web presence to search is optimized social media, email, and other advertising venues could be discussed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuous Google AdWords and other search engine training.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Lots and lots of building an online business research and finding out most every online small business website's failure was caused by not being seen. I wanted to help myself, my friends and neighborhood businesses utilize all the tools available to them to succeed.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Small to medium sized online and brick and mortar local businesses. Home businesses of various types. Online selling groups.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Helping any business by finding missed connections between their web information base and that customer search button and being able to report with solutions that will actually work for them in a few hours makes my day!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Beware of someone selling you one piece like a new website, or just search ads. While that one piece may help a little, you will probably still pay to much for the results you get.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What do I have already? Have I checked the simple things? Am I looking at this like a customer? What do I think is holding me back and why? What are my ideas for improvement?
