We are Kenny D. Shaw, Annie Sommers and James Dougherty.
Kenny D. Shaw brings four decades of experience as a professional bassist/vocalist to the stage. From recording with members of Steely Dan to sharing the stage with Jefferson Starship,Three Dog Night and The Turtles.
Annie Sommers Brings 30 years of experience as a professional keyboard player and a superb vocalist to the stage.
James Dougherty has been a veteran rhythm guitarist for the last 30 years and is fluent in most any style of music. He is also known for his finesse on the fret board.
Velvet Hammers provides entertainment for restaurants, clubs, private parties, and almost any event. We cover a wide range of top ten songs, from the '50s to the '90s.
Our fees vary, depending on the location, and we require a three-hour minimum booking. For accounts over 75 miles, we require a room comp courtesy of the client.
