I had a consultation with this company on August 2 and was subsequently sent an agreement at a promotional rate. During my consultation call, I do not recall being informed that the quoted price was a limited time promotion or that there was a deadline to accept that rate.
When I was contacted asking whether I planned to proceed, I explained that I was on vacation August 4–11 and planned to review the documents when I returned. It was only then that I was told the 50% promotional rate would expire that week and that the price would increase to $500 afterward.
I understand that businesses are entitled to offer time limited promotions, but I was disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding the deadline. Had the expiration date and regular price been clearly communicated during the consultation or when the agreement was initially sent, I could have made an informed decision before leaving for vacation.
Learning about a 100% price increase only after saying I needed additional time to review the agreement left me uncomfortable with the experience.
