How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a young man I was drawn to the beautiful Pacific Northwest by the exciting & challenging work of commercial fishing. While working as a fisherman I began to invest my earnings in fixer-upper homes & apartment buildings & found myself intrigued by the possibilities of a livelihood involving Real Estate. After 12 years of Commercial Fishing & 4 years as a Captain, I decided to make my move into Real Estate. Although commercial fishing was a very different career path I have found that it prepared me well for my career as a Real Estate Broker and key player of REMAX.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I sincerely believe that if you are looking to sell your home that interviewing a few agents is vital and just as important is to make sure they work through the current market comparables to price your home appropriately. I have nothing against a well-run team however please make sure that they are effective in keeping you updated, priced correctly, have multiple ways of marketing your property and will help guide you through the process of selling your home. If you are looking to buy a home I would also recommend interviewing a few local agents to make sure that they have a working knowledge of inventory in the area you are seeking to find your next home.
