Introduction: Quality private and group dance lessons are available in Western Washington with Nathan Simler (Bellingham and Lynnwood by appointment.)
Since 2002, this true professional has guided students to success and a sense of fulfillment in Swing, Latin, and Ballroom dances . His students range from the purely social/beginner to open level competitors and all ages, 8 to 80.
Nathan has won numerous professional dance titles and holds Gold level teaching certifications in the American styles (Smooth and Rhythm), and is certified in International styles (Standard and Latin), and New York Salsa as well. Nathan is a DVIDA regional examiner for professional teaching exams and student medal tests. He is know for choreography as well, with special emphasis in musicality due to his background playing classical guitar.
His students benefit from his years of hard work, continuous training and up-to-date techniques. He is known for his sense of patience, attention to detail, warmth and sense of humor.
Private lessons are scheduled by appointment. Group classes are offered weekly and rotate. Check his website for the latest offering.

If there were anyone who was born to teach, it is Nathan Simler. He is a natural at instructing and guiding any student, regardless of the methods needed for each individual dancer. Nathan goes the extra mile to keep himself educated, and is always one step ahead of me. He has the patience of a saint, yet he never lets me get away with fudging anything. He has a passion for dance, and that passion translates to his students. He wants you to dance well, and he makes you want to dance well. Nathan is totally supportive of my goals, and has done everything he can to help me achieve them. I can't believe how lucky I am to have found him. Our community is very fortunate to have such an accomplished and quality dance teacher as Nathan Simler.

Nathan is an exceptional teacher. I have had the pleasure of taking both private and group classes with him. He is extremely well qualified to work with dancers of all levels and makes an effort to make lessons fun and engaging for everyone, even if not everyone is at the same level.
Whether you are learning the follower or lead part of a dance, he is equally good at demonstration and instruction and always willing and able to answer any questions along the way so you can take your dancing to the next level.
If you are looking to learn some new dances you've never tried before I strongly recommend Nathan as an instructor! Also, if you are really looking to fine tune your style or choreograph a routine for your wedding or special event I strongly recommend him for those things as well!

The perfect blend of friendliness and professionalism, I can't imagine there being a better instructor. While I feel like I'm dancing with a friend, I never forget I'm being taught by a master. Nathan Simler is not only an incredibly talented dancer he has mastered the art of teaching and explaining things in ways that I believe would give even the most uncoordinated person the ability to learn fantastic moves and looking great while they're doing it!
