FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rate can vary according to the complexity and scope of the project. For purposes of quoting a project to a client, I use a base of $50 per hour production rate, and/or a $70 per hour design rate which also applies to web development/web design.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Phase 1: I usually like to meet with the client in person first. Talk about the project, I will bring my laptop so we can access the internet if need be. I also bring a sketch pad, I am good at roughing out ideas. We talk about the project needs and goals: we may have an idea in that first meeting, or we may need ideas. Phase 2: I develop the ideas (we agree at a number of ideas, depending on the project), and I present the idea(s) to you, the client. This can be done by phone, email, mssging or in person, whatever the client prefers, at whichever juncture of the project. Phase 3: Develop approved idea(s) and proceed with a process of submitting and revising drafts until the project is completed. The project length will of course be dictated by the scope/size of the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
