- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Trial lessons are for students who have never studied with Brittany before, regardless of age or level. They are $45/hr and $25/half hour. Single Session lessons are for students who do not wish to have a weekly recurring time, who would like to schedule more time in-between lessons (ie; once per month), or who cannot commit to the same time each week. Lessons will be scheduled based on availability. They are $70/hr $35/half hour. Weekly lessons are reserved times with intention to meet every week. To be eligable for the weekly spot discount, students must pay for one month in advance. They are $55/hr ($220/mo) and $35/half hour ($140/mo)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer trial lesson rates of $45/hr and $25/half hour. I have taught ages 4 through 87 both piano and voice. I have never had a student not return after the first lesson!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Brittany holds a degree in Vocal Performance with a minor in Theatre from Northern Arizona University. She is local singer / songwriter, private voice and piano instructor, and professional singer. Prior to her involvement with NAU she performed as "Peaseblossom" in a scene from Benjamin Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, "Kate" in a scene from Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance, "Pauline's Friend" in a scene from Tchaikovsky's Pique Dame, and "Donna" from Rick Lewis' musical The Taffeta's at Canyon Moon Theatre in Sedona. At NAU she was a member of the chorus for Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore and Puccini's Suor Angelica, "Mum" in Britten's Albert Herring, "La Ciesca" in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi, "Ariadne" in a scene from Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos, "Elsa" in a scene from Lohengren, and "Brünnhilde" in the Ride of the Valkyries scene from Die Walküre by Wagner. Brittany has won numerous competitions spanning over 10 years including first place in piano and voice in the Verde Valley Concert Association Pranspill Scholarship Competition, first place in piano and voice for the VVCA competition in the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels, placed in the Quick Piano Competition in Sedona, the Flagstaff Solo and Ensemble Festival, The National Association of Teachers of Singing in the Freshman, Sophomore, and Advanced Women levels. In 2013 Brittany won first place in her division in the NATS state level, and represented Northern Arizona University and the state of Arizona in the NATS Western Regional Auditions in Las Vegas where she was awarded Honorable Mention. In 2014 she auditioned and was accepted with scholarship to sing opera with the Music in the Marche summer program in Mondavio, Italy - a six week intesive program focused on operatic repertiore, aria, and Italian Language. Aside from her operatic background, Brittany has also performed her original music at live venue locations around Flagstaff Arizona including weekly performances at BTO Yogurt and the solo dinner entertainment for the 2014 Arizona State PEO convention where she performed for over 500 guests.
