We just had our living room floor refinished by Matt, and can't say enough good things about him and his work. Here are just a few that stand out: - He's friendly, straightforward, and easy to work with. Even after dealing with setting thousands of nails in our old top-nail floor. - He gave us the great idea of going with a dark stain, which looks phenomenal, and we wouldn't have even thought of - The quality of work is excellent. He did as he said he would, and he made our floor look beautiful. - Everything was neat and tidy when he finished up. When the time comes, we plan to have him come back and do one of our other rooms, so yes, we'd recommend hiring Matt to do your floors.

Can't say enough about Matthew. I had just spent a month salvaging and restoring the 100-year-old fir floors in the house we just bought, and then proceeded to ruine them by applying a finish that was not rated for floors at all (which was recommended to me by another professional). I hired Matthew to sand off the bad finish, and he was meticulous about taking off as little wood as possible in the process to preserve the life of the floors. He also gave me a ton of helpful advice, tips, and techniques as I embarked upon staining and finishing the floors for the second time, and even after he finished with his part of the job, he checked in with me to see how everything was going. He is a knowledgeable, detail-obsessed craftsman, and an all-around good guy. Highly recommend.

We just purchased a home where the floors were definitely in some need of some serious TLC and Matthew did just that. He did an incredible job restoring our nearly 100 year old fir floors! How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love wood and everything about it. I love being able to see the diamond in the rough and then restore it back to its full luster and life!
What types of customers have you worked with?
There really isn't a common job as each and every clients needs, wants and end results are different.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It is a grueling job!! It is extremely time consuming and you have to be meticulous!! There is none of the process that can be rushed. The end result can suffer as well as the life of a wood floor if not maintenanced properly.
