FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My wedding pricing is primarily just based on the number of hours I'll be shooting. My smallest package includes 6 hours, and that is the minimum I recommend with the exception of elopements and very small weddings. Engagements are a set price or can also at times be added on to a wedding package at a discounted rate. I offer special hourly pricing for elopements 2 hours and longer, with fewer than 15 people. Please contact me for more details You will never be asked to pay an additional cost for your digital photos, and you are welcome to have them printed through me or take them elsewhere if you prefer. As someone who puts a lot of emphasis on candid photos and real interactions, I tend to hand over a very large number of photos after a wedding. If you reside in the state of Washington, an additional sales tax must be added to your total price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
This is something that really varies depending on what my couples want. Some want to meet up and really take the time for us to get to know each other in advance. They want to know that our personalities work well together, and that I'm the kind of person they want around on their wedding day. Others are a little less concerned about that, which I also understand since anyone planning a wedding has a lot of meetings and stress on their plate. Either way is fine with me, but I do like to have at least one quick meeting beforehand (video chat is fine) to make sure we're on the same page about everything.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With the exception of a handful of college classes to learn the basic technical skills, and workshops by photographers I admire, I am primarily self-taught.
