I'm living in California with a property that has been up for sale for 8 months in Mt. Vernon, Wa. I made arrangements with Jorge to have the yard landscaped, cleaned up and the driveway, steps to the back yard and patio power washed. At the time he quoted me a price I thought was rather high but, I agreed. Meanwhile the house sold a few days later. I was in Mt.Vernon one week to the day I spoke to Jorge. He did not plan on me being there and I did not tell him I was coming to pack up the house. I was disappointed, the yard was mowed, and the power washing was done. That's it. The lawns edges wasn't trimmed, the shrubs were barely touched. the lawn along the sidewalk in front was not mowed or trimmed. During the winter moss had grown over the side yard and flower beds, none of it was removed. I called Jorge and asked when he would be coming back for mowing the lawn again and to let him know I was in town. He came the following Monday which was the two week schedule we discussed. I let him know I was not happy. He agreed it was not a good job. He jumped in with a team of 4 or 5 men and went to work for a couple of hours, it looked great. I asked why it wasn't done this way the first time? He said he fired the man for doing bad work and he was to slow. Originally Jorge said it would take several days to complete, I was surprised when he called me and said it was done in one day and he had an employee out there that did it for him, when I thought it would be Jorge doing it or over looking the job. Then he charged me for doing the job correctly, I felt he should not have charged me at all except the fee agreed upon to mow the lawn bi-weekly. His reply was it's been two weeks, as if the yard went into total disarray in two weeks. Would I recommend him to anyone else. No. I think Jorge thought I would never find out that the job wasn't what he promised. He should of had the team of workers there the first time. It was to big of a job for one man to do in one day and he said it would take several days when I spoke to him the first day we made the arrangements.
THUSAND JOBS INC. Electrical Contractor's reply
it does not matter how many days if i finish the job in one day or two if there is 5 men working 1 day equals to 5 days work. you said you came back 1 week later it was all most 3 weeks when you came back and every body know that if you do not cut your grass in a week during spring will grow wild, and i had to charge again because you hired me to maintain the yard until the house was sold i did not know i had to maintain for free, what if you do not sell the house for a year!!! tanks for the job and for the recommendation but i do not work for free
