FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
One the aspect of pricing, my fees consider my skills and knowledge on the topic at hand, and the time I am utilizing during our sessions, as well as planning for them. I have a 24 hour period before our session so that I have time to prepare a good gameplan in which I will guide you to help resolve your presenting issue(s).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before starting, we go over what I call the professional disclosure statement. This goes over what you are afforded as a customer and consumer of my services (such as confidentiality), and what I hope to accomplish during our work together. That said, I have 3 general questions in my head that I try to resolve during every initial interaction: 1. What is the problem and what caused it to be so severe that you sought outside resources for help? 2. What are your goals for resolving this issue, and what's your time-frame on doing so? 3. What have you already tried to do to resolve the issue? Why did they fail?
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's Degree in clinical mental health counseling with Christian integration. I have worked professionally to aid people dealing with mental health issues, improve clients' interpersonal skills, and helped others gain confidence in self through mental health management. I have also worked with parents to help them better relate to and navigate the negative behaviors of their children.
