Zeke served as a coach for my athletic team. His skill set in martial arts and military training were a huge asset to the team, which played a contact sport. Zeke's best qualities - demanding each athlete work to her highest potential, giving positive but firm direction to keep everyone moving in the same direction, keeping people moving as much as possible (less talk, more physical activity), and having a discrete and valuable plan for each time the team practiced.

I whole heartily recommend Robert Jones as a Martial Arts coach and teacher. I love my training at the Academy of Kempo Martial Arts.
Sergio changed my life! The support and encouragement he gave me helped me to finally overcome issues holding me back. Having been in my place before he understood where I was coming from and always configured my workouts for what I needed that time. Once the day after my girlfriend broke up with me he looked at me and said, “ok, your doing power lifting today”, the growth hormone and testosterone from that work out brought me out of my depression and I felt 100% better. Sergio uses your strengths and what you love doing to help you achieve your best results. He never brow beats you or makes you feel bad. He has also been as much of a life coach for me as much as a trainer. His wisdom has helped me improve many other parts of my life and become the person I’ve been trying to become for 20 years! Training, guidance, diet, martial arts, life coach and just being the Yoda of the gym, Sergio does it all!

I have been training and competing in mixed martial arts for the last 6 years at Ivan Salaverry's who is himself a legend in the sport of MMA. I put in countless hours of training with a fight team that has amassed an 80% success rate in the competitive arena which proves that are training is highly effective and sound. In addition to martial arts instruction I also have my personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and will be pursuing my BS in exercise science in January. Where do I start. I love to see peoples reaction when they first feel and hear that pop of a perfect punch on a focus mitt. Its comparable to firing a gun, but safer. It creates an empowering feeling and I like to see people feel that. On the personal training side, I enjoy the science and research it takes to really create a program that will help people get to their goals. I just love learning and passing on knowledge to people.

Aikido is unlike most martial practices, in that what we do is about partnership, communication and developing positive interactions. Most martial arts focus on teaching people how to hit (or hurt) others, or they are practiced as a competitive sport, where one person must "lose" so that the other can "win". In Aikido your partner helps you to grow and you help your partner. People learn about cooperation and teamwork and everyone improves, without competition. I get to work with a great group of people every day. Our dojo (School) is like a large family. People care about each other. It is very rewarding to watch people progress and grow. The school itself is also unique, and very beautiful. It's a calming place to be. I love walking in and spending time there.
