- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Due to previous negative circumstances, I do require a deposit before beginning work now and I no longer offer flat fee services. My fees and the deposit are extremely reasonable and are dependent on the type of project and amount of time it will take. As an example, Ghostwriting is a bit more expensive than copyediting. Deposits are required to begin service. They are based on my hourly rate and the first 10 hours worth of work. That first 10 hours worth of work will generally tell both the client and myself if we are a good fit for one another for this project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will discuss the project and what is expected of me, paying special attention to any ghostwriting that is requested. Agreeing to the project by both parties constitutes a contract between us. A written contract can be provided if you wish. Once the deposit is made, the work will begin. I will keep you apprised of the progress and will ask questions as they come up. The client is provided a copy of the edited document as we go long, and they are given the opportunity to make corrections or additions. Once the edits are approved, I can move on further into the project. Full payment must be received prior to sending the final manuscript to the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took a course in writing from Writer’s Digest School of Writing, plus all the schooling that I took that included proper English. I am a published author and continue to write in my spare time when I am not editing or Ghostwriting someone else’s material
