Introduction: I focus on developing in my students the skills necessary to continue to learn piano well after I am done teaching them. Study skills in music are something that is forgotten by most teachers and by equipping students with them it allows for a more compete joy of music. I truly enjoy the opportunity to work through problems with students. When a student has a hard time understanding a concept I truly enjoy looking for a way to explain it to them so that it not only is understood but is fun as well.

David has been great for my two kids. As a piano instructor, he has been patient and caring and is one hundred percent committed to working with both kids and their learning styles so that they can continue to learn and grow as pianists. David, though, is much more than a strong instructor. He is a great person with strong Christian values who is a wonderful role model for my kids to look up to.

David has the ability to take any student, no matter their age or piano experience (if any), and work with them right where they are. Under David's instruction, my sons were challenged and grew in their knowledge and playing abilities. One of them now helps lead music worship for his youth group. We couldn't be more pleased with David's teaching and leadership example.

FAQs

How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a child I was taught piano because it was good for me and for little else. I was never challenged or pushed until I went to my last teacher. He not only taught me piano but also a strong work ethic and a love for truly mastering any endeavor I was striving for. I was inspired by him and I hope to be able to inspire others to the same ideals.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask them what goals the teacher has for their students. Do they only wish to teach your student how to play a few songs, or is it a more full understanding of music? There are many music teachers out there, make sure they love to teach but also they love to provide tools for future success.
