I hired Scott to make my eCommerce site and paid him 262 dollars upfront. After signing the contract and few days later I was told that the task was much more than he expected and he offered to return the deposit which I agreed to. But few days later he changed the story saying that he will do it but wanted more money. I refused and said I no longer wanted him to work on it. Now he has stopped responding to my multiple attempts to contact him. At this point I have neither the any of his work or my money.

Dear Shalu, Im sorry that you are unhappy, but if you recall, Ive offered to complete the redesign of your website, http://mysaaree.com, for the amount we originally agreed in November, several times. I'm also willing to finish the extra 92 pages and new formatting and structural changes you recently added to the request for a small additional fee. I completed two thirds of the redesign and you do have that work. The 50% deposit you paid has been applied to partially cover the time and materials already spent. Whenever you are ready to allow me to re-access the files I placed on your server, I would be very happy to complete your website redesign! Thank you!
