Jeremy Harper, the owner and principal architect of Roadside Bonsai Architecture, is a builder, creator, and problem solver registered to practice architecture in Oregon and Washington. He has over 20 years of design and construction experience which influence his approach to the design process at every stage. His process leans heavily on cutting edge digital design, utilizing the latest tools for building information modeling (BIM), real-time rendering, documentation, and project management. From establishing the context surrounding your project, to visualizing it, to documenting it for construction, to managing construction, the process is built around shepherding each client through the complex process of turning your vision into a tangible creation. He also draws on his experience in construction to design projects tailored to the construction process with the intent to control costs and challenges. Designing a stunning building isn’t enough — it needs to be buildable, work for your site, and meet your budget. Equally comfortable wearing a tool belt as he is 3D modeling, Jeremy believes there is no “correct” solution to design, only better solutions.
