Dana H. says, "Ilia was a pleasure to work with, he was quick to respond to my original request, and then very accommodating as the work list grew. He spent three days taking care of various projects from installing a new bathroom vanity and fixtures, new toilet, and new LVT floor in the bathroom, as well as lighting and mirror. Ilia installed baseboards in two rooms and reinstalled a few others we pulled out when refinishing the floors. Needed new bi-fold doors on our laundry closet and could not find nice looking ones that were same size, so he built out a door frame and trimmed out, installing nicer quality doors which were overall an inch thinner than the previous ones. Each project seemed to have some sort of hiccup that I did not plan for, and he thought through each one and resolved for me. Each evening, he cleaned up worksite before leaving. I would recommend him for any project around your house and if something is beyond what he feels he can do, he will let you know."See more

If you plan on hiring a professional electrician to install an outlet, expect to pay $75 to $500, or an average of $210. But for an accurate cost estimate, you need to contact a few electrical outlet installers near you.

The light switch and outlet types may impact your cost. The location of the outlet also matters, as the electrician may have to route additional wiring and may not have access to existing wiring. If you need the outlet childproofed, this may also cost more.

Read our cost guide, “How much do switch and outlet installation cost?

Generally, this is a job best left to a licensed professional. A licensed electrician will be able to install your outlet using the most up-to-date code practices. If you need any permits to perform the install, the electrician should also be able to obtain them for you.

Depending on where you live, you likely need a permit to install GFCI outlets. When in doubt, get in contact with your local government, and ask a licensed electrician to perform your electrical work.
