My voice lessons have been a lot of fun and quite the learning experience. Bryan has been a blast to work with. His long term experience as a teacher, music producer (and professional drummer!) has been invaluable in getting more than just a "voice lesson", but a true "recording studio experience". The ability to have the lessons in a real studio where recording and instant playback is available is unparalleled. Bryanâs ability to provide you with a âbefore pictureâ of one song, compared to that same song a few weeks later speaks VOLUMES toward actually hearing how youâve improved over time. Also a recording studio allows you the ability to really focus on those key nuances in a certain phrase or word in a song to get it perfect when you can do it over and over and over again until Bryan says it's just right. In the studio setting it is so much more than standing there with an instructor over a piano for an hour and then go home and try to remember what you learned. At The Factory with Bryan you get to have access to the actual recording(s) of your lesson available to you at home when you practice during the week. These offerings makes the fundamental lessons regarding vowel phrasing, breathing techniques, etc. so much more fun. Lastly I love the great mix of fundamental lessons applied directly to some of my favorite songs/artists in a recording studio environment. Youâre standing there singing into a screened microphone, with headphones on just like the pros. I mean seriously, how fun is that!?! Just a great experience all around. I'm very happy that I chose Bryan Lash and The Factory for my voice lessons.
Hip hop rap is everything to me i love making music and i just wante people to really hear me out
This guys knows what he doing, won’t be disappointed with the out come of your music. Great to work with
I was in search for a teacher who could offer the technical knowledge of music theory, yet with a mastery in fingerpicking technique. Liam was the perfect teacher, given his academic studies and years of playing genres of guitars. He is really positive, patient, and is constantly aware of the nuances of learning a new instrument (markings of a great teacher). He kept it fun and time passed in a blink of an eye! Looking forward to moving from spanish guitar to electric in the coming year!
Ken is a maestro at creating great sound. From pop to punk to opera, Ken knows all the tricks to bringing out the best in your music. He is a multi-talented instrumentalist and can improvise terrific guitar or bass tracks to any song. When you need to add more instruments to add that extra magic to your tunes, he brings in top-notch drummers, sax or clarinet players and blends them into a fantastic final mix. When I need a studio for recording, mixing and mastering my songs, I go no further than Mirror Sound. Glenna Burmer, Managing Director, BurmerMusic LLC (www.burmermusic.com), www.glennaburmer.com
Ken is a fantastic teacher with tons of experience and a great attitude. I've been learning guitar from him for many years, and hope to continue for years to come! Whether you're a complete beginner (as I was) or a seasoned player interested in learning more music theory or refining your technique, he's a great coach and always has interesting lesson material. The lesson space is comfortable and you'll be treated to professional quality sound during your lessons.
Jason is the man about making quality music no matter the subjects. Always been professional as it gets and doesn't get any better. Can't wait to get back in the ring and make some more music.
I have found GOLD in Joe at Project Won Studios and if you use their services, so will you. This review is going to read like a commercial but its honest and comes from heart. As sound engineers or producers, one of the things at the top of the list thats required is the ability to make constant judgments about audio quality from the myriad different groups from with which one works. Its an essential prerequisite to have a valid frame of reference something upon which you can base a subjective and valid opinions. Joe scores big in this arena and has that very sense innately embedded in his work style, ethic and his very core; its mighty impressive and why hes so successful in his business. That alone would suffice for a successful recording session. But for my experience, thats where it STARTS with Project Won Studios. If youre looking for more than just a solid engineer, youll be thrilled at every step along the way with this organization. Do you need a guide who will coach you and educate you through the recording process? Someone to help you to bring out the best in your project? Need help getting your recorded tracks mixed to sound great? This IS the place. Or, perhaps youre well-rounded in this filed and dont need the above Joe knows when to take a back seat, and play any role in the process needed. This is truly an amazing skill-set thats rarely found in this business. Now lets add the icing on the cake Joe is a great human being who is kind, patient, super talented, honest, positive, and always found ways to make my project exceed my highest expectations a true and rare gift! Joe is my producer, engineer, and mixer for life! Thank you Project Won Studios!

After graduating from Boston College with a music degree in the spring of 2014, I moved to the Seattle area to pursue music full-time. I have a real passion for both composition and teaching, and I would love to aid musicians at any level.
Reilly Kennon is awesome as a music instructor. He is very good about knowing what I need and accommodating my needs. He doesn’t have a pedological agenda, he is there to help move my capabilities to produce music forward. My efficiency with my software has improved greatly with his help, and he has been good at working on some of the tech breakdowns that crop up. I’m working faster and smarter now, doing things that make arranging easier with less rework. This alone probably has saved me months of work and frustration. He has helped me with composition, and has explained things in ways I understand. For example, I have had a tendency to get into the details and get lost. He introduced the concept of needing to sketch the whole structure of the song and build in the detail afterwards (which as an artist, really made sense). He works hard not to make creative decisions for me. He is viewing my work on-line before our face to face sessions which makes it more productive. He helps me with equipment purchase decisions. He has accommodated my schedule. He is flexible. He is enthusiastic and supportive (even when what I produce is trite and beginner quality). He isn’t afraid to be critical, and it helps me to hear my attempts at music "through his ears." There is a lot we haven’t started to address yet of course, and I haven’t turned into a rockstar overnight (damn!), but I feel like I am making progress with his help. I recommend him.
Bob has a laid back way of leading me to teach myself to improve my music. His ability to connect different music genres with the music we study gives me a depth of understanding that is hard to match. His flexibility allows our sessions to flow in a natural, yet most productive way. He has really helped me improve my skills as a musician and as a music listener. I would definitely recommend Bob to students of all ages.
Very friendly staff, set up inside a charming old two-story house with fantastic little studios in every room. Generally a very warm and inviting place with knowledgeable staff.
Hello, Billy Stapleton here. I have recorded 5 studio CD's of my own or with bands I have played with since coming to the North West in 1986. I am proud to say that I have recorded, mastered and completed all these projects @ Studio North in Lynnwood WA. Engineer, Ron Latimier is like having an extra multitalented band member with great ears on your side. I don't think you can produce great music without being a musician yourself. Ron covers all the basses and turns his great ears into sterling tracks. The newly retooled Studio North boasts Protools 9 and a spanking new Digidesign C24 Board. You can do projects big and small, Ken Latimier oversaw the successful "Little Bill & the Bluenotes LIVE!" CD that is selling in it's second 1,000 pressing and recently arranged for a small pressing of a jazz duo I am involved in. I have heard samples of all styles of music done there, Blues, Rock, Rap, Country, Jazz, Vocal groups, and it all stands up to industry production. I record, mix and master @ Studio North and have no plans to go anywhere else. Best, Billy Stapleton
