FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I stay on top of new products and solutions.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Like a bunch of good things in life, I ended up in the "gutter" business by accident. Working for a temp service (that sent out skilled construction people) while providing care for my aging Mom and Dad, I was sent out on a roofing and gutter installation company. I was sent as a roofer and after satisfying the temp services' requirements was hired on full time by the company. I roofed for a few months, then was asked to fill in for a couple days on a gutter installation crew. I learned the basics fairly quickly and after 5 years decided I could provide a better and less expensive service if I worked on my own(I hire helpers when the job is too big, they need no real experience to help me) and 6 years later I am still at it!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of my residential business is cleaning and repairs. Many unsightly and or leaking gutters can be renovated to attractive and well functioning condition. Most of the commercial end of my business is new installation(this end has been economically depressed for a few years now!
