They came in the same day I called. It looks like the capacitor is no longer within range stopping the AC from running. The cost of the part with installation and a 1-year warranty is $214.50. Putting the total price of the repair today at $400.58 after tax and diagnostic is added. I know it is not the best value but they responded quickly and get it fixed.

My previous contractor who installed my mini-split system did a pretty bad job and left the work incomplete. I needed someone to complete the installation. Not a lot of HVAC companies were willing to do the job, ARES were one of the few who offered to help out. They helped finish up the work and get the required permits. Job was completed very professionally and on time, would hire them again for my future HVAC needs.

Ares did a great job for me! I needed someone to quickly remove my HVAC pipe for some plumbing work, they came out really fast and also fixed my air intake vent. I'd definitely hire them again

First of all, if I was able to put more stars than five I would. Shawn and Shannon. These guys are the definition of amazing. I’ve never hired another company who has gone more above and beyond and they have. I’ll tell you why. I called about eight or nine different HAVOC companies. I had bought a new thermostat which said it was “easy to install.” I should have known better, however I was calling these companies to see if they would help me install the new thermostat. I was turned down every single time, due to not being in their job description or a liability reason. Until I received a call from Shannon, I believe he heard the desperation in my voice. My house was 84°. I was stressed because I took off the old thermostat and did not know how to reinstall. Shannon told me do not worry and that he was going to have Shawn, the owner, come to my house in the morning on his way to his other appointment to see what was going on. And the way he said it “unfortunately he won’t be able to come tonight, I’m so sorry” I was like that’s totally fine! ( it was 730pm) I was just glad they were willing to help in the first place. So the next morning, Shawn shows up exactly when he says he was going to 9 AM. He gets right to the point and knows exactly what he’s talking about. What I loved was he explained things to me in simple terms, I’m not an idiot, I use power tools, I flipped my own house, but when it comes to any electrical work, I have no idea what I’m looking at. It took longer for me to set up my thermostat on the app than it did for Shawn to fix the problem. We finally got the app running and I paid Shawn and he was on his way. Until a few hours later, I noticed that my vents were blowing air, however, wasn’t air conditioning. So I messaged Shannon and told him what was going on and he immediately responded saying, “OK Shawn will be back between 6 and 8 PM tonight to see what’s going on!” which I was not expecting. I thought it was gonna be the next day. So, Shawn came back at 7 pm. Again, he broke it down to me in simple terms. He literally tested the power to the wires on the wall, going into the thermostat and then the wires going to the furnace, which all worked fine. So we needed to go outside and see what was going on with the AC unit itself. When I took Shawn back to look at the AC unit, he showed me exactly what the problem was, and why. Again, broke it down to me in simple terms. There was a canister looking part in the unit, he showed me on the canister, what the power should test at, plus or -6 of that. When we tested it, it was dead. With this company, it is NOT like taking your car to the shop. Where they tell you you need this this and this for your car to run and you’re like whoa whoa whoa whoa what’s that for? And the bill is $$$$$ He SHOWED me what the problem was. Another Reason to love Shawn, is he gets straight to the point and tells you If he can fix it and how much it’s gonna be right then and there. He told me he could fix my issue for 229 which was already a discounted price I think originally he said it was 279. However, I am a single mother of two boys and having all the bills, plus this month was definitely not good because I had to take my cat to the vet which was a $500 plus bill. So I had to go check out my finances. I asked Shawn to hold on a minute to see if I would be able to make it work. About 8 min later, I went to go find him. I thought he might’ve been out in his car, but was not there. I went back out to the AC unit and Shawn had already installed the new part and fixed my AC unit, free of charge. Writing this review makes me wanna start bawling again. I went back there and told him I could probably make it work and he looked at me and he said “you’re a single mom right? Don’t worry about it.”
Look, I can’t tell you who to hire, but I can tell you that when you hire Ares Comfort Systems you will not be disappointed or let down. Best company, hands-down. These guys are good people. We need more of them in this world.
