FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is transparent and based on the scope of work, materials selected, and total linear footage of the fence. Every quote includes labor, standard materials, post setting with concrete, and full site cleanup—so there are no surprise add-ons later. A few things to note: Free estimates for local projects Pricing may vary depending on terrain, slope, access to the yard, or removal of existing fencing Custom features (stained wood, upgraded materials, custom welded metal gates, etc.) are quoted separately Disposal fees only apply if there is significant demolition or haul-off required Discounts may be available for larger projects or returning customers If anything changes during the project, I always communicate first—no unexpected charges. My goal is to keep everything clear and straightforward from start to finish.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My Typical Process for Working With a New Customer: Initial Contact & Consultation We discuss what you’re looking for — fence type, height, style, gates, timeline, and budget. I’ll ask a few questions to understand your property and goals. Site Visit & Measurements I schedule an on-site visit to take accurate measurements, evaluate terrain, check access points, and identify any potential challenges (slope, roots, existing fence removal, etc.). Detailed Written Estimate You receive a clear, itemized quote outlining materials, labor, timeline, and what’s included — no hidden fees. Scheduling & Deposit Once approved, we schedule your project and collect a deposit (if required) to secure materials and lock in your install date. Installation Layout and marking Proper post setting in concrete Fence and gate installation (including welded components if applicable) Quality check to ensure everything is level, secure, and built to last Final Walkthrough & Cleanup We walk the project together to make sure you’re fully satisfied. I clean up all debris and leave the property neat. My goal is to make the process smooth, professional, and stress-free from start to finish. Communication is key — I keep you updated every step of the way. If you'd like, I can also make this shorter for a lead form response or more detailed for a website profile. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have hands-on trade training and professional certifications directly related to fencing and structural installation. I hold WABO certifications in FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), which qualify me to perform structural and custom metal welding to industry standards. This is especially valuable for projects involving steel posts, reinforced frameworks, and custom-built metal gates. In addition to my welding certifications, my training includes: Proper post setting and structural layout techniques Understanding of load-bearing and fence stability requirements Safe tool and equipment operation Job site safety and best construction practices My experience combines formal welding certification with real-world field work, ensuring that every fence is built straight, secure, and designed to last—especially in Washington’s weather conditions.
