FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My base rate is $70.00 per hour. However, I have found that working on an hourly basis does not create the best customer experience. Whenever possible I like to develop a flat fee that the client can feel comfortable with and budget for. In addition, I feel that I can talk with the client, discuss business issues and answer questions and not feel pressured about billing issues.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started by getting my bachelors degree in Business with a focus in Accounting. After over 30 years in the accounting field, I am still looking for ways to improve my skills. I have become an Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor for the online version. I have been certified in the desktop version since 2013. In addition, I am constantly looking for ways to use technology to make my business more efficient. I find often that my exploration leads me to find technology that helps my clients become more efficient. Tools like Smart Vault, Aero Workflow, Bill.com, TSheets, File This Pro and many others will provide cost-effective solutions for business needs.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Numbers speak to me through their relationship to each other. I started in the Retail Industry and rose quickly to become a manager of a $1 million department by the time I was 23. I then found my calling in accounting and finished my university studies with a focus in Accounting. By the time I was 33, I was the CFO for a $100 million company. I have found that numbers can tell you about a company in prosperity as well in danger. It is my commitment to you to inform you about what your company's numbers are telling me about your business. After 6 plus years as a business owner, I have 3 part-time employees, over 20 clients that I billed last month and a business that brings in over $100,000 per year and still growing to meet your accounting/bookkeeping needs.
