FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base it off my hourly rates. I'm consistent with other shops for alterations. I do charge a rush fee for alterations of 50% of the alteration price within 72 hours. I charge a rush fee of $50 for custom work within a month.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I listen to what they need. If it's something that's generic, I will give a quote. If it's a little bit more extensive, I can give an estimate after a fitting session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew-up sewing. When I was in high school, I designed costumes for two large plays. I took workshops specifically for sewing costumes after I was out of high school. Following that, I began making custom costumes for people. I began sewing for my local Union Branch in Wichita, Kansasas well as doing wardrobe. I was looking to do more stitching in Washington, and I began my shop this year.
