Home environment, with four well-behaved small dogs, just a few blocks from the ocean. Secure fenced yards and certified dog trainers are available. Sonia's special skills include socialization, calming focus behavior, and potty training. As a retired nurse, certified in pet CPR and first aid, Sonia is comfortable providing medications and dealing with special needs. Daily walks and choosing positive behaviors are part of our daily routine. Dog boarding, training, and daycare are available. Grooming, pet sitting, and medications by arrangement. I love to train, play, cuddle, and be with dogs and their people! Local memberships are available.

Sonia has been amazing with Lilo, we have addressed some of the behavior issues and I am becoming a better dog parent because of the time invested with my new fur baby. We are not yet done, so will keeping addressing concerns as they arise.

I have a small dog. He is a Havanese and Maltese mix. My dog has really bad separation anxiety and always barks at other dogs. I was worried the training wasn’t going to work, but it did! We saw Sonia about a week ago now and I have been seeing so many positive changes in my dogs behavior. It’s not all on my dog though, I have been working with him daily using the techniques Sonia taught me. Sonia was great with my dog and knew exactly how to handle him. I could not be happier with the results. Thank you again Sonia! :D

Sonia was very helpful with my 2 year old coton who had been barking more since moving to a new place. She was responsive (we set a date within 30 mins of my outreach). She gave good suggestions and helped me practice what we had learned.

Sonia is AMAZING. My family and I were anxious that dog training wouldn’t work on our dogs because our pups are so aggressive but Sonia came in with such a cool, calm, and confident energy that soothed both us and the dogs! She explained everything clearly, helping us understand the benefits and future results of her methods. Our main issue was getting our dogs to be ok with our 3 month old kitten. Sonia helped with that too! We made serious progress and I’m excited to have her back again! Thank you SO much, Sonia!

Sonia with The Heart of Caregiving truly reflects the company title in her approach to puppy training and puppy parenting training. She established a firm but loving relationship with our 12 week old puppy and taught him (and us) calming obedience techniques that have already helped us very much. I will definitely call Sonia again for leash training.
