Introduction: Essence of the Thymes was established in 2003 by Gina Omalanz. Her main goal was to provide a fabulous, fun and new catering business that could provide extreme service, as well as exemplary food. We serve safe food in a tasteful manner 100% of the time.
In 2006, with family help, Gina opened the Port Orchard Kitchen on Bay Street. It was at this time that Ray Allwine joined the business as partner (and happily, as husband). He brought over 15 years of restaurant experience in business management, kitchen management, and food preparation. He introduced new ideas for serving the freshest ingredients, while keeping prices reasonable enough for everyone to enjoy. Together, they combined their passion for food.
Now, years later, Essence of the Thymes has a wonderful team which continues to grow. We have kept the original goal and constantly strive for greatness by keeping up with current trends and food safety.
