FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing all depends on the size of the trees, how technical the removal is, (more technical =more time) plus fuel costs for the saws and equipment. Prices vary widely, but I do stand by my work, if you don't like the shape of your tree after I trim it, or if I miss any branches that you feel should have been removed, contact me within a reasonable amount of time after job completion and I will come back and fix what you don't like, at no cost to you.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to make sure they are able to make well informed decisions about their tree care. If they want something done that isn't good for the tree, I will inform them of what will most likely happen to the tree if I do that and offer them a different option. Or if they think a tree is going to die and ask for it to be removed, if I think it can be save I will talk to them about the options for that. But it is always the owners choice, so if after visiting with them about other options they still want what they originally wanted, that is what they will get. I will never force my opinion on someone, I will educate them and allow them to make their own choice.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a wildland firefighter for 14 years, a big part of that is thinning, pruning, and removing trees. I am a class c faller and I specialize in hazard or "killer tree" removal on fires. In the off season I work for tree care/removal companies.
