FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a going hourly rate, but most jobs we bid per project as a "whole package", we typically don't involve our hourly rate until we go over the allotted time frame/project scope as we outline with the job & bid process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our education never stops, we learn from our peers, from our clients, from the advances in science and technology-it never stops! We take some moments out of every day to take note of what is going on in our industry and the design trends around the world. Looking into evolving industries like 3D printing with a lot of excitement.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish they knew to the degree at which we research, sketch, contemplate, sketch and brainstorm, design some more, then turn their ideas into form. Then design. Fail. Start over, design again. succeed. Show the clients sketches and hope they see what we see. All in the process of one job. And that is just the design phase, it gets more involved as the art and project moves into the production phase. But in the end, some customers just take it all for granted, much like we take for granted at times a simple waitress or farmers job, they all have put a lot of work, love and soul into what they do, but often don't get the credit or rewards they deserve.
