About
I’ve been reading astrology charts and tarot cards for the better part of a decade. My approach is to blend the concrete, predictive techniques of ancient Hellenistic/Medieval astrology with a more contemporary psychological approach. My goal with each session is to bring the reading as down to earth and as applicable as possible. I’ve been a writer and teacher my whole life, so my intention is for you to walk away with some concrete understandings and next steps so that you can feel more confident and able to step into the life you know is possible. Astrology and its intersections with the poetic have been covered by the likes of Dottie Lasky and the Astro Poets. But sit down with astrologer Matt Trease to talk about the stars and you’ll gain a much more nuanced understanding of planetary influence. Interweaving the story of the skies at your birth with the template of your life, Matt creates a celestial map which you complete by pulling together the threads of your own experience. By moving towards an awareness of the unseen forces at work in your life, you’ll come away from Matt's reading with a confidence in your own agency, and ability to reimagine and work with the ancient patterns that both precede and proceed you.

What I love about Matt is how intuitive he is, channeling from a direct connection with the luminaries while also drawing upon his wealth of knowledge to read your chart. I also appreciate how he can interpret the chart from many different angles and lenses of astrology. He captures the essence or main message of the transits and he works from a soul level awareness.

How do we begin to make sense of the complete chaos of our time? Astrology can help us identify patterns in our own life and how those patterns intersect with the cosmic. Sounds complicated but in the hands of a master, it makes sense. Matt Trease understands quite deeply how the individual engages in the world via astrology and I can recommend him without reservation for anyone wishing to explore their own astrological strengths and challenges ESPECIALLY as they are influenced by cosmic underpinnings.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe in the effectiveness of working with your astrology. That's why the focus of my consulting is on 4 month coaching packages that include multiple sessions and access to me for questions outside of the formal sessions, as well as access to content that would not be feasible to provide in single-session readings. You can pay up-front or pay in installments. For those in financial difficulty, I do provide less expensive, case-study options that are shorter and cheaper. Schedule a free consult to see what is best for your needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start with a free 30-min online consultation to allow me to ascertain how best to work with each client. From there we can determine what focus option is best for you. Once you sign up for a package, we'll break things down into focused and manageable goals that are more concrete and applicable than esoteric. I have a lengthy background as a writer and teacher, so I do my best to make sure you don't have to take additional astrology courses just to understand the things we discuss.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been reading charts for the better part of a decade, but before that I taught writing and literature for over 10 years. I am highly skilled at helping people with little or no knowledge of complex systems understand not only the basics of those systems but also how those ideas apply to their own lives. If you've had astrology readings that overwhelmed and confused you in the past, sign up for a free consultation to see what a difference it makes to work with a skilled coach and teacher
