We recently hired Equinox for a major remodel of the first floor of our home, with a special focus on the kitchen. The project spanned approximately 12 weeks (from early July to early October), and we're pleased with the final result.
As with any large-scale renovation, there were a few challenges. Our main concerns were with the cabinets and communication. The cabinets we received were framed, despite our request for full-access (frameless) ones. Additionally, there were multiple errors made by the original cabinet installers, which led to rework and delays. However, Equinox took action to address this by replacing with a better subcontractor, which we appreciated.
Communication was another area that could have been improved. At times, decisions we made had to be reiterated, and certain details from phone calls weren’t confirmed, leading to some confusion. We feel that more attention to understanding our requests and decisions could have helped avoid these miscommunications.
On the positive side, the overall workmanship was excellent. We absolutely love the mosaic/tile backsplash, and the countertops turned out great. The flooring, ceiling, fireplace, doors, and windows also came out well, as did the exterior work that resulted from these remodels. As the pictures show, Equinox did an excellent job in all these areas.
One of the highlights of our experience was the professionalism and solution-oriented approach. A great example of this was when one of the product managers, Liroy, met with us in person to address an issue with a window that was initially installed too small and in the wrong location due to an obstructing pipe. Liroy took the time to listen to our concerns, provided a clear list of possible solutions, and ultimately delivered a beautiful window that now perfectly complements the kitchen.
We appreciate the hard work and dedication of the contractors and subcontractors who helped bring our vision to life.

Our prices usually it’s not the most expensive and it’s not the cheapest ones. Usually, we are in the middle of a price range.
The most important thing is that our price is fixed. That means that we’re not changing the price during the job because I don’t like surprises.

We worked with all type of customer. From customer that know exactly what he want to a customer that this is his first remodeling so we explain all the progress to make it easier for everyone.
