About
Anyone can get to your house fast. Fewer can get it right the first time.
At One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning of Seattle, we diagnose before we quote and we don't leave until the system is running the way the manufacturer intended. We carry a Washington 06A Electrical Administrator license, an 06A journeyman on the team, NATE certification, and a Seattle Refrigeration Contractor's License. That's more credentialing than most residential HVAC outfits bring to a service call, and it means the electrical side of your install gets done to code by people who are licensed to do it.
You get the price before we start. You get straight answers on repair versus replace. And you get a clean job site when we go.
Heating, cooling, heat pumps, and mini-splits across King, Snohomish, and Pierce Counties. Nights and weekends available.
Message us and let's get it done properly.

Alex and team was a easy to work with and very transparent with pricing. I needed the fan on my heat pump replaced and they were able to do it same day. For any other HVAC needs, I would definitely reach out to the team again.

We had an outstanding experience with this team from start to finish. From the initial scoping and planning through the full installation of our HVAC system, they were knowledgeable, efficient, and extremely professional. The installation was completed impressively quickly without compromising the quality of the work. What stood out most was their flexibility and responsiveness and they were always willing to accommodate every modification we requested and approached each change with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude. They made what could have been a complicated project feel smooth and straightforward. We are extremely happy with the final result and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled, and genuinely customer-focused HVAC team.

Matthew did a thorough job servicing my 3 split heat pump system. Would recommend for your heat pump needs, they're very reasonably priced, especially for how accommodating they are with their schedule.

I was able to book a same-day appointment, and Matt arrived right on time. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and went above and beyond what we expected. He took the time to manually clean our AC coils, which ended up saving us from having to schedule and pay for a separate service. At no point did he try to upsell usinstead, he was transparent, honest, and even showed us how to perform some of the maintenance ourselves to help save money in the future. It's refreshing to find a company that's so customer-focused. I couldn't recommend Matt and the team more highly!
FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We quote flat rate, up front. You see the full price and approve it before we touch anything, so what we say is what you pay.
No hidden fees. No dispatch or trucking charge to come out.
We do charge a diagnostic fee to properly find the problem, and we waive it if you hire us for the repair.
Estimates on new equipment and system replacements are free.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. We talk first. A quick call to understand what the system is doing, how old it is, and how fast you need someone out. Often we can narrow the likely cause before we ever load the van.
2. We schedule a real window. You get an appointment time and a heads up call when the tech is on the way. No all day waiting.
3. We diagnose before we quote. The tech tests the system rather than guessing from symptoms. On replacements we measure and run the load calculation instead of just matching what's already there.
4. You see the price and the options. Usually good, better, and best, with the repair versus replace math laid out honestly. Nothing starts until you approve it.
5. We do the work and clean up. Shoe covers, drop cloths, and the job site left the way we found it.
6. We follow up. A check in after the visit to confirm the system is running right, plus warranty and maintenance details in writing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Licensing and certification
Washington State 06A Electrical Administrator license, plus an 06A journeyman on the team
Seattle Refrigeration Contractor's License
NATE certified, the industry's independent competency standard for HVAC technicians
EPA 608 refrigerant handling
Ongoing training
As a One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning franchise, our team runs continuing education through the national training program covering new equipment, diagnostics, and code changes. We also carry manufacturer specific training on the systems we install, including Mitsubishi ductless and modern variable speed heat pumps.
Code and permitting
Washington and Seattle energy codes have changed fast. We stay current on the heat pump requirements and pull permits on the work that needs them, rather than hoping nobody checks.
Background
Before HVAC, I spent my career as a solutions architect at Amazon Web Services. That systems thinking carries over. I'd rather find the actual root cause than swap parts until something works.
