About
Metro Dog has been caring for our furry companions for over 20 years in Seattle. We believe that pets are very much part of the family and should be treated with the same love and care that children are. We are fully licensed, bonded and insured and all of our staff are certified in a comprehensive pet first aid program. We utilize low-stress handling techniques and strive to provide the most fun and safe experience possible for your pet.
We think this is an amazing time to work in the pet care industry. Dogs and cats are becoming recognized for the amazing effect they have on our physical and emotional well-being. In turn we have seen tremendous progress in nutrition, handling techniques, pet medical care and legal protections. We are privileged to be able to care for these wonderful creatures that give us so much.

I bring my little terrier here for daycare and boarding. While it might not be the fanciest daycare around, the staff is quite nice and seem passionate about dogs.

Great urban dog boarding spot off of Elliott Avenue! My dog always loves her time there and I am always amazed at how tired she is when she leaves!

We have been using Metro Dog as our go to daycare for our GSD, for over a year and half now. Hes excited even before I pull up to the place, comes home exhausted but happy. The staff (especially Heather and Leticia) know him well and are always engaging amd welcoming. I really enjoy getting a verbal report/summary of his shenanigans throughout the day.

Our boy has been going to MetroDog for a year and a half. He is so excited when we turn onto 16th Ave and he knows where we are headed! He is always so eager to get inside to see his buddies. What makes it even easier for us to leave him there is how warmly he is greeted by the staff. Theyre obviously real dog lovers. Every time he shows up, he gets welcomed in with rubs and scratches in his favorite spots. He has a few favorites on staff and he licks their faces like theyre long-lost family every time he sees them. The team there has been understanding of him as a picky eater, and theyve devised some tricks to get him to eat his lunch (some days). We are happy to have a safe and fun place our dog can spend his days when we arent able to be home with him. Thanks, MetroDog!

My dog Alice LOVES this place. She gets so excited whenever we go. Shes kind of an it girl of daycare, I guess.
