About
I know what I am doing and can guarantee my work where many other professional portrait and wedding photographers who take my photography classes tell me they don't know what they are doing. I am a master instructor in portraiture and portrait lighting at The Photo Center NW for 19 years ongoing. This experience allows me to get great results for every client in any situation. I can create images in any style a customer likes. I love people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. I see peoples beauty and mirror it back to them in their portraits. I have been told by clients they recovered their lost beauty through the experience of being photographed by me. Look at my work and how long I have been doing it successfully to see for yourself.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

At first I was a fine art photographer showing internationally, winning awards and grants. Then a commercial agent asked me if I wanted to make a lot of money with her and I said "You bet!" I did years of commercial work for clients such as Kodak and Thai Airways, along with editorial work in books and magazines. Then stock photography came along and I joined the top stock agency in the world at that time The Image Bank. All along the way I shot portraits for people who wanted something special. When I had my daughter I started portraiture of babies and children. I needed the first hand experience of being a mom to really know how to photograph little ones. At this time I am focusing on portraiture, weddings, fine art, and teaching.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure the photographer has at least 5 years experience. The longer they have been in business the better they usually are. Photographers who charge more money are usually better than those that charge less. Hire a photographer who asks you a lot of questions. This shows they probably know what they are doing.
