- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge hourly but give each client a clear picture of how many hours their project will take so their are no surprises.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It is really important to meet the new customer and understand who they are and what their needs are. After an initial meeting I put together a brief outline of what my services will be along with an estimate of hours. The design process varies depending on the scale of project. I like to start with broad design ideas and work down to details. Understanding the big picture first really helps inform the selection of materials and furniture.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an architecture degree from the University of Washington. Over the past twenty years I have worked in both commercial and residential interiors for large firms in Seattle.
