Always quick to respond and supportive of ideas both from bride and mother. Our event was on an island in South Puget Sound only accessible by ferry. Shelby made numerous trips to scope out site and meet with me even though she was coming from Seattle area. She was a calm influence when things were a bit hectic. I can't say enough good things about Shelby at Shine Event Design. Let's just say...I already miss our daily chats as we planned my wedding! Shelby is professional and thinks about every little detail. She knows how to listen to a clients ideas and make them a reality. When I walked into our venue on my wedding day I was in tears....it was everything I imagined. We planned everything long distance and there was NO way I could have pulled off such an elegant and elaborate wedding at Chambers Bay Golf course without her help. We worked with Shelby for almost a whole year to plan our wedding. We were out of state for most of the time, but she was great with using Skype and keeping a timeline of tasks. We would have regular meetings to go over ideas or plans, but she was always available and answered in a timely manner if we had a question outside of our meetings. The most important aspect is that she really listened to what we wanted and the day turned out better than I could have imagined! Shelby made the whole process stress free and we didn't have to worry about anything the day of. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?For all of our clients (planning, floral design or decor), our typical process begins with a complimentary consultation via telephone or skype. During this time, we'll discuss your goals for the event including any theme ideas, look and feel, location, venues, budget and timelines. You'll gain a deeper understanding of how we can collaborate to create the celebration of your dreams. After the consultation and we agree to work together, we'll create a scope of work uniquely tailored to your day. Then, the fun will begin. Venue searching, tastings, decor.... we'll get to work searching out the perfect elements and creating unique moments for your upcoming event.
- What types of customers have you worked with?At Shine Event Design, we work with newly engaged couples, brides, grooms, partners in celebration, moms-and-dads-to-be, new grandparents, birthday boys and girls and guys and gals, bachelorettes, newly retired, holiday celebrating employees, sweet sixteen-ers, and all sorts of party-wanting people! We work with brands (and the people behind them) for product launches and store front openings. We work with non-profits and small businesses to help them reach and celebrate their goals.
