About
For many years I worked for large companies doing ornamental plaster restoration at prestigious historic buildings across the United States. In 2015, I opened my own business in order to work closer to home most of the time. Whether I'm restoring plaster in your historic home or a state capitol building, it's an honor to do the work I love and carry on my proud family tradition of master craftsman plasterer

Hamza knows what he's doing and can really transform the look and feel of your home!
My husband and I just purchased our first house and the only thing we really didn't love was the texture on the walls, especially in the basement. Add to that, some settlement cracks in the bedroom ceilings, loose plaster around one window, as well as a bad DIY wall patch in the main bedroom and we quickly decided that we wanted to invest in smoothing out the walls of the whole house before we moved in. Since our home was built in 1945, we knew the walls were old school lath and plaster and that we needed a plastering expert to come in for repairs.
Enter Hamza and his team. Within 24 hours he answered my inquiry email, and a few days later we did a quote estimate onsite for a price that we could agree upon.
Despite having a really tight deadline for getting the work done between our house closing date and our move-in date (only two weeks!), he made it happen and we were able to successfully begin work the day after closing. He even recommended a painter friend that was used to working behind him so that everything was dried, cured and painted just in time! The results are night and day and we are very happy with our pretty new walls.
Granted, the results aren't perfect everywhere as we had a very small and tricky kitchen with tight corners that his tools couldn't always reach. But Hamza and his team did their best, and overall the house looks amazing. The living room and main bedrooms are especially gorgeous! And the little imperfections here and there are kind of nice in their own way too because it keeps the character and age of the house consistent with the older doors and molding.
A word of advice though, for anyone considering doing plastering work in general. It's a very messy process. Be prepared for that, especially, with cleaning up the dust. It would have been better if we had given ourselves extra time for the cleanup. Especially since you have to put all your light fixtures and light/plug switch plates back once the process is done.
In addition to giving Ornamental Plaster Area a call, I do recommend trying to do a whole house job before moving in or after moving out so it doesn't get all over your furniture! Something like 3-4 weeks will help make the process less stressful.

Mr. Hamza Alabidi is utmost professional and has got the work ethic most contractors do not. I had water damage in my living room and original plaster trim had to be removed. General Contractor could not find anyone who could match the original plaster trim (since 04/18) and I took it upon myself to search and luckily found Ornamental Plaster Arts LLC and finally my home is getting restored thanks to the artistry and hard work of Mr. Alabidi

Hamza was great to work with for our home renovation. He promptly returned my phone call and came out quickly for an estimate. We had extensive damage to our plaster walls because we re-plumbed and rewired our entire 1909 house with plaster walls. All of the walls had texture from a bad 1970's remodel but Hamza smoothed all of the walls beautifully and the look like the old world plaster. He came everyday bright and early in the morning and cleaned up before he left. The walls looks wonderful!

We had Hamza out to fill several holes that were created during an electrical re-wire of our home (built in 1942, plaster on entire main floor). Some on the walls, some in the ceiling, all plaster. Hamza was prompt, efficient and great to work with through the whole process! Will definitely have him back for future plaster work!
