TaxBunny just opened their doors on January 21, 2017. The owners, Michael Johnson and Rene (Bunny) Hernandez have lived in the area for more than 40 years. Michael has an MBA from Seattle University and has worked in the accounting field for more than 25 years and has prepared personal and business taxes for more than 20 years. Rene has a Master's Degree from the University of Washington and has prepared returns for 5 years. Both Michael and Rene have worked for two of the major "chain" tax preparation business and were both unhappy with the knowledge of employees, the service given to their customers and the prices that were charged. At TaxBunny we work with individuals and small, businesses to ensure they keep proper records and don't pay any more in taxes than necessary. We both have extensive experience working with independent contractors and artists and understand many of the issues that they may incur. Our rates are not the lowest, but we give our customers a better value for their dollar. Nothing makes us more excited than speaking with an entrepreneur that just opened their business. We understand that a new business owner has to wear at least a dozen hats (sales, marketing, accounting, customer service, production, etc..,) we love to take handle the bookkeeping, taxes, payroll, cash flow management, so that the owner can concentrate on what they do best.
