- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
- We meet over the net or phone - In some cases we do a pre-production meet up at the studio to get aquainted and discuss the project - Tracking is scheduled (sometimes multiple sessions) - When tracking is is complete mixes are done in unattended sessions. Tracks are shared via Google drive or drop box - Mix revisions occur - Mastering is final step The exception to this may be shorter Hip Hop/Rap session for instance where all of this is condensed into one 2-3hr session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Learning is constant in this business, and good taste rules (something that cannot be taught). The 10,000 working hour rule to master your craft certainly does apply and there is no substitute for on the job experience. Listen to professionals music examples, let your ears tell you the truth.
