Nate was an outstanding contractor and someone I would highly recommend for your home project! In the middle of a basement renovation I had to fire my first contractor who failed to show up and lied to me throughout the process. In searching for a replacement I had the good fortune to come across Nate and his brother. They provided me with a very fair bid working hard to stay within my budget after the first contractor stole a significant amount of money. Professional, courteous and extremely honest, these guys got to work immediately and put in 12 hour days to get my project back on track. Nate also helped me out with a few little extras here and there - changing the locks (the first contractor still had my key), fixing bad wiring for a few lights and setting up my walk in closet. I highly recommend contacting Nate if you're looking for someone trustworthy to renovate your home!

Nate is the best contractor I ever worked with. He is very responsive, diligent and does beautiful work. I had an extensive living room project he worked on, including installation of a gas fireplace, built in cabinets and lighting. It turned out perfect. Highly recommend!

After having a truly awful experience with a large contractor in the remodel of our kitchen this past summer and fall, it was with some trepidation that I ventured into the arena of small business contracting as a remedy for the previous disaster. The possibility of experiencing something similar again weighed heavily on me; nevertheless, the job needed to be finished. So I went through the bidding process on Thumbtack and consulted with several contractors, deciding on Forte Construction Alliance to complete the work of tiling the backsplash in our kitchen. Nate Forte has a wealth of experience that is evidenced by his easy-going and confident evaluation of the task at hand. He examined the previous contractor's shoddy workmanship, explained what needed to be done and how he (and his assistant Ivan) would fix the mess, made suggestions about what specific tile types, colors, and grout would best suit my clearly stated budget constraints (and where to purchase the requisite materials at a reasonable price). Nate immediately sent me a clearly detailed bid that was consistent with other bids I had received. Nate's assistant Ivan (and later Ivan's father) showed up at the appointed times, got to work right away, and completed the job precisely when they said they would. Ivan is an amiable, highly skilled and very focused man; it was a pleasure to watch him work, and work hard. Nate carefully inspected the work that Ivan and Ivan's father had completed; when I pointed out that a USB port was missing in an electrical outlet, Nate immediately went to Lowe's, purchased the correct hardware and installed it. Nate also pointed out that because we had a recent granite cabinet top installation that there could be settling that might create a very slight separation between the backsplash tile and the granite over time. He made it clear that if that were to occur, that he would come out and regrout any affected areas at no cost. Ivan's artistry as a tilest has made our kitchen beautifully habitable again. Because I was so very pleased with the workmanship and the professionalism displayed by Nate and his asscociates, I asked him to evaluate another remodeling project I had in mind. Once again he quickly explained what needed to be done and how, and had a reasonble and meticulous bid to me within days. Forte Construction Alliance has my utmost respect and my highest recommendation. We hired Forte Construction and Nate Huhta to remodel our kitchen, finish our basement (including the addition of a new bathroom), and remodel our backyard deck. They did beautiful work, and clearly took pride in doing everything right. Nate is a very good communicator, and always kept us informed about the status of the project, any changes that he suggested, and any potential changes in price. We always felt in control of the project, and were never pressured to spend more money than we intended. In fact, one of the best things about Forte was the incredibly specific and detailed bid they created at the outset of the project, before they had even been hired. Nate took the time to shop for materials, reach out to subcontractors, and honestly assess the cost of the project. Because of this initial bid, we were never surprised about the cost of anything that occurred during the project. Nate was also full of great ideas, was a very talented "decorator," and made great suggestions about how to make our initial project ideas even better. The project took longer than we expected, which could have been frustrating. Honestly, the majority of the extra time was due to our decisions about the scope of the work and Nate's willingness to be flexible. But Nate's ability to stay in contact with us and clearly communicate what was occurring with the project made the extension of time bearable. Finally, Nate's crew was friendly, clean, and caring. We lived at home during the project, and therefore spent a lot of time "rubbing shoulders" with the crew. It was never awkward, as they were always incredibly respectful of our space and our time. I could not possibly provide a better recommendation for a contractor. For all the horror stories out there, we feel incredibly fortunate to have found Nate and Forte Construction Alliance. How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have six uncles who are General Contractors and grew up on the jobsite. With that experience and the knowledge base I developed at a young age, it was natural that I make my "summer job" my career.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We often do design-build type projects. We work closely with clients who have an idea of what they want. We help provide those tangible solutions to make that idea the client has come to life. At Forte, we love anything that has Stone and tile, and any job that requires a custom design to meet the client's expectations.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently completed a conversion to a Gas burning fireplace. The transformation of the space was amazing. We worked closely with the customer to bring their vision of the space to reality. There was 5:1 surround sound with a new TV, receiver and Blu-Ray system. There was new crown molding, custom built cabinets and Alaska White Granite countertops. We installed amazing glass shelves with an overhead trim detail with built in recessed lights. The job is one that is pictured and was a true pleasure to work on.
