Introduction: Hello, my name is Craig Swanson of Spokane Home Design, a house plan drafting company in the Spokane Valley. I have been drafting plans for custom homes and all other types of residential construction projects from additions to shops to tool sheds. My last job in fact was an airplane hanger for a past customer whose custom home I had drawn plans for several months before.
I draft plans for many customers who do not live in Spokane. The customer with the airplane hanger project was living in Kirkland while we worked together on his custom home design for the new home he was building at Desert Aire in central Washington. He was living there by the time he wanted plans for the hanger he is going to build on the lot next door.

My wife and I contacted Craig last year to put together plans for a home addition project. The project would add about 1000 sq ft to our house (500 sq ft upstairs and 500 sq ft downstairs). After talking with Craig on the phone I emailed him our drawings, existing house pictures and general ideas for the new space. Without even having to come out to look at the house in person Craig was able to put together a full set of drawings and a 3D virtual tour video to show us what the addition would look like, all in under a week! He's also updated the drawings with small changes that we made in the months since and has given us great advice on our ideas/changes he thought would work and ones that wouldn't work. We really appreciated that knowledge, candor & experience. We were very happy with the 1) quality of work Craig produced, 2) the time it took to get it done and 3) the price. We hope to break ground on the project in the next few months. Thanks Craig!

My husband and I hired Craig Swanson to draft up plans for an addition to our home. From the very first meeting Craig was super intuitive, and knowledgeable. He totally got our vision, and made cost efficient suggestions in line with exactly what we were going for. He didn't once try to direct the plans into a vision of his own, but rather worked with us in enhancing where our vision may have been lacking. He has been available to make changes in an instants notice, and throughout the process by directing us where we may need a little extra advice. His prices are very reasonable, and offers a lot with the package. Definitely money well spent. Will would without a doubt choose Craig for our next project.

My husband, Harley, and I sketched out a very rough design plan and took it to Craig. Neither of us knew what to expect and we werenât sure if he would be able to incorporate our ideas into a workable plan. Much to our surprise, Craig was able to draft our plans to replicate all of the designs and ideas we had in mind, as well as providing some excellent ideas of his own. After the initial draft we ended up having a few modifications and Craig was accommodating and quick with making those changes. He was easy to work with, fast and very affordable. We are still in construction mode and Craig has faithfully followed our progress by checking in on my Facebook album and by dropping by our construction site. We have been thoroughly impressed. I have recommended Spokane Home Design to several friends and would suggest him to anyone looking for quality, integrity and experience.

Craig designed my home from a sketched out drawing I gave him. His understanding of the building process and great visualization of what I was requesting transformed my dreams into our wonderful home. His video presentation in 3D really helps to walk you through your home and get a feel for the rooms. I would recommend Craig to anyone building a home, Why pay $ for a pre-designed plan when for nearly the same price you can build what you want?

I contacted Craig through his website when we began looking at building a home. He was very helpful and responsive from the very beginning all the way through to completion of our custom home. His knowledge of the construction processes and codes are very valuable. I would recommend his services to anyone looking for house plans.
