- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I use a square footage price which is all inclusive for a single layer tear off and replacement based on a thirty year architectural laminate shingle which is currently the industry standard material. this price is based on replacing all shingles, pipe jacks, venting, and any damaged or otherwise compromised flashing. extras include things like : Extra layers of roofing, rusty furnace pipes, skylights, cut in masonry flashing, chimney crickets, shingle upgrades. Extras and upgrades are also priced on either a square foot or per unit price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new potential client, I will typically make first contact over the phone and set an appointment at a mutually convenient time to meet them at their project location. During this initial meeting I take measurements of the roof, show them material samples and options, talk about Peone Industries process. I like to use this time to get to know the people I am going to be working with, to get a feel for their personalities and how they like to be treated. Everyone is unique and has there own unique outlook on what client contractor relations should look like. My first job as the contractor is to make sure my clients know they can be confident that they and their property will be treated with respect, and that Peone Industries is going to do the best job possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the trades since 1994. in 2001 I went through a four year apprenticeship program for construction/carpentry. This program included 2000 hours of classroom time in conjunction with 8000 hours of on the job training under a journeyman. This apprenticeship encompassed every aspect of residential building from start to finish. Upon completion and passing the subsequent testing I became a recognized journeyman myself. I have been a general contractor since 2006 and have been specializing in roofing projects since 2014.
