Our experience with Columbia General Contracting couldnt have gone any better.Marcus came out during our home inspection to scope the sewer on a 1902 Craftsman in the Emerson-Garfield neighborhood and while talking to him about the work we would want to have done prior to move in he gave me the other necessary contact info.I called later that afternoon and spoke to Kelly, letting him know that we needed to have the living room ceiling repaired as it was sagging pretty bad and he went over the possible scheduling options with us. We of course still had to wait to finalize everything with purchasing the home but he was able to get the ball rolling and got me in touch with Phil. Within a few days they were able to meet my agent at the home to get us a quote. I honestly didnt think we would be able to make things work so quickly from a scheduling standpoint with how crazy the market is and how insanely busy all of the trades are. I expected that wed have to wait at a minimum of a few weeks after closing to have the work done but Phil assured me that they would do everything they possibly could to start the project as close to the first day that we took possession as possible.Fortunately we had almost a full 2 months between the closing date and the date we need to be out of our current place so if it took a little longer to get the job done it wouldnt have been a big deal, but sure enough they were able to start the day after we got the keys! Also to be fair to them, we closed on a Friday and they were ready to start that day but our son was graduating high school out of state on Sunday so we asked them to push it back till Tuesday so that we didnt have to make an extra trip from Missoula to Spokane and back.Mike, Jason and Jeff showed up first thing Tuesday morning and after doing a walk through with them they got to work on the fun part - the demo.Jason, Jeff and Chuck were back for the next few days for what had to be the worst part - cleaning up 120 years of insulation and plaster & lath. They busted their butts to get it done on schedule so that they could start installing the new drywall ceiling and getting the tape and mud done. Tiffany joined them for the taping and mudding and they had it finished by the end of the day on Friday. Mike and Jeff returned the following week (last week) to blow the new insulation into the attic and just like that the job was complete!We really appreciated them getting the job done in the allotted time as we had someone scheduled to come in right behind them to refinish our floors. Everything remained on schedule and the job got done on budget!All of the on site crew members (Mike, Jeff, Jason, Chuck and Tiffany) were friendly, respectful, trustworthy and hard working. Phil, Tara and Kelly in the office we very helpful and always fast to respond to any inquires we had. There were a few times I reached out to Mike after business hours with questions and I never had a problem getting ahold of him, even on the weekend!The ceiling looks great (we gained 2 inches of height in the living room) and more importantly the work they did to the rafters and joists will help our home last for many more years to come.We wont hesitate to call Columbia first for the future work we plan on having done around our home!Thanks Mike, Jeff, Jason, Chuck, Tiffany, Marcus, Tara, Kelly and Phil!

Marcos came and assessed the water line situation and personally with a colleague came last Saturday, punctual and repaired the line and was professional and cleaned up as follow up.Marcos solved this issue and walked me through the steps....called and Kelly assisted me with help..I would highly recommend this company! Marcos came right out for the estimate. Very friendly. They arranged all permits and inspections. Got the job done as stated. Crew is young but hard workers and friendly. The crew boss Brady really knew his stuff. Ran the crew well. Dropped a star because I have to repair some sprinklers.

Mark normally we do not cover sprinkler damage which is covered in our contract. However, perhaps we could have communicated that better too. We'll look into that. What we can do is help you get the sprinkler lines properly taken care of. We are just now looking at adding sprinkler repair as an additional service. We'll have someone give you a call. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do not build our Fencing to residential specs. Everything we build is to Light Commercial grades. That means we set our posts deeper, use more and higher-grade concrete, and thicker posts and rails. We warranty our Fencing to 65 Mph winds. Even with this our pricing is always competitive. Get the best value for your money by choosing Columbia.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We always like to do a Free Estimate on-site with the customer to ensure you get an accurate bid for your project and there are no surprises. Typically we are able to email the customer their estimate within 24 to 72 hours.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are one of the few companies in Washinton State that have both Designers and Installers that are "K" Rated. That means we are certified to install fencing for high-end security situations.
