Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Our training is based on modern-day application and relevance to the student. We take a 'mythbusters' approach to all techniques and principles so we're not just copying lessons from the past that are assumed to be good. We also understand that each student is different and expresses martial arts with their own twist. These differences don't take away from skill as is commonly believed, but actually helps the student to be effective from their own standpoint. The earliest joke was "I get paid to hit people in the face!" But looking back at all the training, I'm definitely being hit the most. The best thing about this job is the love of it. Has someone asked you if you would do your job even if you weren't paid? Well, I spent over a decade paying to do this, and loved every bit of it. When I relax or am at peace or have free time, I find myself doing, talking about, or philosophizing martial arts. It's my ultimate passionate expression. Now I get to share what I've learned and help make people better versions of themselves. The most rewarding thing is to share what I love and have others love and benefit from it.

Hello, my name is Andrew, and I'm a professional MMA fighter out of Japan and currently an MMA coach in Thailand. I was a student under Kye for years before he ever formed the style of Heiwa Na Kaimetsu and had the privilege of personally experiencing his concepts and innovations regarding combat. He is an outstanding teacher, focusing on your personal progress in all areas relating to martial arts, including the physical, mental and even the spiritual. His knowledge of unarmed combat is extensive, and though he possesses physical strength, his focus on technique over muscle was extremely helpful. Each class is tailored to the individual. I cannot stress this enough: if you train with Kye, he will do everything in his power to improve your personal weaknesses and add to your strengths. He treats everyone with the same humble respect and friendliness, but also keeps each student as their own person and taps into their potential. Working with Kye was a wonderful experience and brought me great success in my professional endeavors and personal development. I still come to him for advice in both realistic combat and meditation. I urge you to try his class, and recommend it for the serious martial artist and amateur alike. -Andrew

I began training with Kye two years ago when I was a freshman in college. I had never done anything like martial arts before, but hearing of his lessons gave me the opportunity to break out of my shell and achieve that dream. His lessons were beginner friendly and I never felt looked down upon for being a girl, a small fry, etc. Soon, I could use my body in ways I never knew I could, and was able to puruse my own individual path as a martial artist. It was good routine excercise and built a lot of self-confidence. I learned a lot of good self-defense for everyday life as well as awesome moves for practice matches. As a teacher, Kye is patient, charismatic, fun and willing to go the extra mile to help his students learn. I would recommend Kye's system for anyone wishing to pursue their martial arts dreams!

This is a great martial arts school to be a part of. The elemental based-styles are very intriguing and fun to learn! This is a great place to not only train, but be yourself! By training with different elements, it's an awesome way to discover things about yourself and get more awareness! Kye is a great teacher who teaches everyone as a whole and also gives the individual attention that's necessary to progress. The classes are very challenging both mentally and physically but with all the right amounts of fun mixed in! I look forward to training in this school more!

Kye is an outstanding teacher who takes the time to get to know his students and caters to their needs. He teaches that understanding, personal style, and personal strengths can empower an individual if used harmoniously, and emphasizes having balance in every day life. He taught me that I'm so much more than what I thought I was, and has been a huge inspiration to my life! :)

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Why yes I do! I have many instructor friends in the martial arts fields. We train in different styles, but on a least a monthly basis we'll get together, set up examples, and do demonstrations on how our art styles handle the problem. It could be defense against a combo or how to choke someone properly, but we're always testing to make sure that our techniques are legit, and that they can handle people outside of our schools. I also frequent seminars, and periodically take classes in other martial arts styles.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Martial arts isn't about competition or fancy outfits or being the strongest person on the block. It's a craft and a talent. It's a relationship with your own body and mind. Martial arts helps us to be the best person we can be, whether it's competing in a ring, protecting ourselves from bullies, achieving new awards, or just learning and doing something new.
